The only point I was making is that it's hypocritical to take this view as a Christian. To actively hate homosexuals is putting a lot of stock into a single vague line of Leviticus and discarding tons of scripture about tolerance and fellowship.
Even if the Bible did explicitly state you should actively discriminate against gays, religion is not a shield from the law. You can't stone your promiscuous wife to death just because Deuteronomy says you should. Try telling a judge "that's just muh beliefs".
Currently it is legal to discriminate against gays in some states, however. How long that is the case remains to be seen.
