This is supposed to be a place where you can be free and exercise your beliefs. By trying to force somebody else to do something against their beliefs means they are no longer free.
Their freedom has been stripped in the interest of another group. Do I really need to continue? I've said the same thing ten different ways.
Being denied something from people who don't share your beliefs is not stripping your freedoms. To force somebody to do something against their beliefs is stripping their freedoms.
Your right to believe what you want is not being threatened by laws like this. It is not establishing a new religion.
Suppose I belonged to a weird religion that involves eating raw meat. Nobody is going to stop me from eating rotten bacon at home, but if I open a restaurant violating health codes, of course it's going to get shut down. Is the government FORCING me to do something against my beliefs? Not exactly. If my religious practices don't jive with laws about running a business, then I shouldn't open that business.
BTW discriminating against people is not the same as disagreeing or disapproving of them. You can serve gays and hate them to your cold heart's content.
