Actually one of the biggest hallmarks of fascism is thought policing.

Only one political narrative is allowed. Those who go against the narrative publicly are punished, shamed, and discredited. Corporations which do not go along with the narrative are also punished, and they know this, so they publicly take the positions expected of them.

Censorship runs rampant, but is defended by claiming that the other side is "pushing dangerous ideas", "attempting to destroy our government", and "misleading people".

I don't know how they get to 67 to convict in the Senate, 60 seems possible with Murkowski, Romney, Collins, Sasse and Toomey all on board, but even McConnell is on board now, so maybe they drum up the votes somewhere.

You may need to recalibrate your sarcasm detector. Tine has been posting about how well the Deep State, BLM and Antifa have done in orchestrating the downfall of Trump and the Republicans. I saw this through that lens.
