I don't want him complicating the 2024 primary season. I just want him done. Sure, he can still bitch from the sidelines, but that lacks teeth if everyone knows he can't run again.

It's the only way for the party to move forward. Democrats aren't thinking when trying to impeach him on the way out. They should WANT him to run in 2024 -- and win the primary. They are too obsessed with a symbolic punishment rather than practical political success.
Or just maybe they're doing what's right for the country, not to mention sending the message that criminals will be punished.
