Obviously on the wrong platform to ask this question. But does anybody here actually agree with the ban on gambling in many parts of the country?

And if they held a nationwide public vote on gambling laws, what would be the approximate yay/nay percentage be in heavily relaxing these gambling laws?

The state gives alot of reasons, all of them hypocritical.

Mostly a combination of pandering to the bible thumpers and accepting money from legal gambling entities to ensure that gambling stays illegal to ensure travel to those legal gambling entities.

Had a feeling it was 'lol religion'.

Gambling is an absolute free-for-all in the UK, albeit a regulated free-for-all.

It's led to all sorts of issues. Like multiable gambling commercials during heavily viewed sporting events which have led to all sorts of problems within the home. Families breaking up coz degen hubbies sending them busto etc.

Online -ev games need to be fucked off immediately. They're destroying lives at a rapid pace. That's the one thing I'd change here.

Not being able to legally play poker for $$ within the confines of your own home is a disgrace though. A maddening law.
