They are multiple things wrong in this statement.

1. They didn't breach for like 3 hours and at that point there were only like 6-8 people with him. Although you wonder how many people bled out waiting for help for those three hours?

2. He was almost certainly trained with firearms. Worked for a federally contracted security company for nearly a decade.
