I read the whole Drexel poor me thing where all he cares about is getting everyone else their money back. It's just hard for me to believe hes so distraught over this shit but has a girl fly out by him and then never pick her up and tell the story like its a joke. Drexel is far from a saint that only cares about the community. He knew Jasep needed stake money to have any chance of recovering the money he was owed. Did Drexel post in the bap thread that he confirmed the pieces he bought? I dont think he did because he didnt want his name on the shit because he knew the shit was not on the up n up. I could be wrong about the last part someone can correct me if thats the case.

How many things have to go down involving Drexel before we start looking at him?

I know nothing about Drexel other than he's a big gambler and likes Ambien. I was not expressing an opinion about his trustworthiness or candor because I don't know anything about it. But if he is really taking Ambien and alcohol together, he needs help, regardless of whatever else may or may not be true about him.

Jasep probably used most the BAP money to pay exists debts and/or frittered it.
He probably didnt have a buyin left when JoeU suggested that JoeU come rail him.
There is a discepency in the amount and way that Jasep handled the 22Q money. (still under investigation)
Jasep was probably fucking China and Drexel on the way VPR was run.

Anal_hershier went on a multi-page bender mocking posts from anyone who was in the BAP, you probably want to skip those.

There was a 6 hr radio show on lowlimitpokerradio (episode 16) where Drexel returns to radio and that is probably about the only bright thing out of this mess.

It looks like that was website for 3 restaurants that Jasep was referencing. It looks like they all went out of business. It says in a review all the places were owned by one family. One of the main complaints in the reviews was that the management was never around and the places went down hill. Maybe they let Jasep manage them and he spent more time in the Casino or bed than at the restaurants.

Actually, your theory about the restaurants is a good one.

A lot of times, family restaurants attempt to give jobs to the "black sheep" of the family, who can't get decent employment anywhere else.

This unfortunately has the frequent result of running these businesses into the ground.

There is actually a local restaurant around me that has that exact problem. It's owned by a family that seems decent, but the family member tasked with day-to-day management is terrible, and has zero customer service skills. She actually yells at employees in front of all of the customers, and has gotten into loud arguments with customers, as well. Many of the family members want to get rid of her, but she's the daughter of a large percentage owner, so they can't. I stopped going there as a result, and there are tons of reviews on Yelp bashing that woman.

I am guessing that Jasep was involved in running these restaurants and neglected them, and that was that.

I remember Jasep mentioning that he co-owned another restaraunt in Rhode Island called Fatty McGees. He said that he cleaned the place up and re-sold it for a healthy profit. Apparently it wasn't a huge hit either.

The story I was told was it was him and his brother that owned them. Of couse the only owner listed on the RestaurantUnion website is his brother

The guy went out of his way to make sure everyone knew how legitimate and trustworthy Juan was. He has a lot of posts on this site so others who gave Juan $ may have trusted his judgement(I don't feel bad for them). Even when several issues with this whole situation began to be questioned, his ignorance prevailed and he kept making excuses and sticking by Juan's side.
