4Bet, with all of that explanation, it is understandable that you were frustrated and tilted as an investor. Perhaps a better course would have been posting all of those details in the first instance EXCEPT not naming the person (saying it is a "well-known poster here" perhaps?). The lack of communication and showing up late and skipping tournaments are all valid concerns on their face. If a couple more weeks had gone by with no response, then sure, out him as a scammer, or at least a slow-payer, or someone who irresponsibly handles/manages investors.
As it happened, though, it seems like you couldn't wait to call him out, by name, at the first opportunity. IMO, it doesn't put you in a very good light, the way it went down.

I agree with you looking back now, I could have handled this another way and should have but I will stand bye my belief that had johnny did the right thing this would have never happen.

1.) 4Bet has been paid

2.) I missed one tournament because I was not feeling well and the other tournament I registered at 12:38 when it had an 11:00 start time, I said the day before to 4Bet that I would only play this tournament if the field was decent and late registering (and getting in at the second level of play) is completely acceptable, I was never 4 hours late, I was never 2 hours late, I made a decision to see what field I was playing against before playing. I make responsible decisions when I play and both of these are examples of me doing the right thing by my backers instead of either playing when I don't feel good or playing in a field thats value I underestimated simply because I am staked.

3.) 4Bet seems calmer in his last few messages and I admit to maybe not handling this as best as possible. I sincerely feel that I handled it professionally and correctly and believe me or not my phone was not functioning, I had it replaced this morning (cost me $50.00 to buy a refurbished version of a phone I got brand new for free in November) but thats neither here nor there.

4.) I will chalk this up to miscomunication and offer an apology. I am sorry for not immediately letting you know via email or pm that I was not going to be available by phone until today

5.) In the interest of disclosure I owe PLOL 28.00, Kevmath 14.00 and an unnamed backer 14.00 for this package as of today, the other 46% owed to backers has all been paid. I have emailed them all in the last few days and none have expressed issue with my handling of anything.

Hopefully we can move on from this and my reputation hasn't taken an unwarranted hit in the process.

I am not and have never been accused of ever being a cheater or a scammer in my life (until yesterday)and the claims are not true in anyway. If I am guilty of anything it is being a day or so late on a payment arrangement.

I attempted to merge both threads (there was one in Scams, Scandals, and Shadiness, and one in this forum), and I ran into a vBulletin bug.

Here is what happened:

When I merged both threads, the first post was PokerPrince2 mentioning that there was a thread on DD about this.

The second post in the merged thread was 4BET actually explaining his side of things.

Rather than leaving the opening post saying, "There's a post on DD about this", I decided to just delete that post and let the opening post be 4BET's actual story.

So I deleted the first post, and apparently vBulletin just deletes the whole thread when you do that.



That's not how it worked over on DD's phpBB software, so I was taken by surprise.

Just to let everyone know, this was NOT an attempt to cover anything up, and everyone is welcome to repost anything that was deleted.

You are right its not about the 140 and none of the things you listed. I will explain the best I can why this tilted me. 1st of jasep missed many tourys he had in the package, 2nd The best one of them 1k buyin he showed up 4 hours late for no good reason, This is when I first start to tilt a little but I don't say nothing, I let it go but still very unhappy about this. 3rd. The package ends on Wednesday and we both know there is cash owed back (far less then invested b.t.w) So now thurs comes and goes I hear nothing, NP,,Fri comes and goes I hear nothing,, NP, now Saturday comes and I hear nothing, So I text Johnny and say " I am kinda shocked that many days have passed and I have not heard from you" He reply with some B.S about why he could not send a 2 sec text and he says that I have 140 coming back (which I could care less about) and I was gonna have him keep that little money and put it on the next package had he contacted me on thurs, fri or Saturday, Now bye then I feel disrespected as a invester and very tilted over the way he handled the whole package, So he tells me Saturday he will ship greendot number bye the next day, Sun comes and goes nothing NP, Mon comes and goes NP, Tuesday comes I hear nothing, So I start texting no reply and no I did not try to contact him any other way, I have his phone number and T.B.H I never even thought of sending P.M etc . I think that you freaked out way too early over this. Jasep has a good reputation and this debt only dates back a week. Obviously you should have given him more time before accusing him of being a "filthy scammer", and I think that's the consensus around here.

I think that the text ignoring thing is just an unfortunate coincidence (that his phone had issues right when this occurred), and while I can understand you being suspicious and annoyed, you should have given it more time, including sending him messages on here or DD. (Did you ever even try doing that?)
