Trump was the first President since Nixon to successfully win a primary after losing a Presidential election. However, Trump is the leader of a huge movement within the Republican Party, so that's why he was unbeatable.
Kamala has no such movement. Nobody even likes her. She was the "alternative to Trump" candidate. That's why she couldn't come close to winning the 2020 primary.
