am i the only one astonished that the US govt has allowed and is now encouraging these coins to compete with the USD? just days ago Trump understandably chastised the BRICS countries and threatened tariffs if they continued to develop it. and in responding, pls do say well trump is a dumb ass - i will concede it, but there are far too many smart people who are otherwise involved. or am i the only one who sees bitcoin as competition?

Hard to believe a mathematical algorithm is worth over a trillion dollars. I seem almost ridiculous chasing life saving biotechs as investments as opposed to bitcoin. Warren Buffet is right, the only value of bitcoin is selling it to the next guy next to you for a higher price. It's hard to believe this pyramid scheme has lasted as long as it has. But I am somewhat bitter, I missed it. 8 Billion people on the planet, you only need 100 million to perpetuate a scam. It's not even a rounding error when you do the math. But there is no value in gambling either, its just trading money back and forth between winners and losers. I have stayed away but I am 50 years old now, you just get conservative. If I were 25 when this shit came out I'd be worth $100M, but the flip side is I probably be dead now, so there is that.

He showed me his account. I couldn't believe what i was seeing. I say to him “so whats the matter they havent processed your sale yet?”. Im not selling. “Bro you have to sell…. This is once in a lifetime”. No man BTC is going to be the new normal. “Bro then sell the options and buy actual BTC. “These are nowhere near done running ill have 10M by EOW. “Dude promise me…. Please please please at least sell 700k at the bell in the morning and buy a house… you will never regret that. “No way man a house is a terrible asset to own”.
Forget what happened but 1.5 days later someone said something and BTC was down like 25% in a day. All the stock prices fell that much and more to under the strike prices he had. The $2.3M was almost completely gone.
This meme reminds me of him. Sad. Literally could have sold it all and freerolled the rest of his life with a fully paid off house, a new loaded SUV for the family and $1.6M in the bank.
