Well this sucks. Lost power at 11:20am.

Hopefully won’t be too long. Wind projected to decline at 4pm.

Was prepared so essential stuff in the house is running (including internet & phone), and I have coolers full of ice that I prepared last night. Just moved some food & drink there.

I hate this shit, 3rd time in 2 months we’ve lost power. In November we were without it for 30 hours!!

I just heard the guy on the tv say a fire started in Ventura County.

Get the fuck out of there Druff.

Are these the result of Jewish space lasers? If so Trump needs to put his Space Force to good use and obliterate those things.

You should get one of those Honda portable generators. The are quiet.

I am surprised dessertrunner hasn't discussed this with you.

I might just break down and buy the Tesla power wall for 25k.

These should stop for awhile after winter is over, but with Newsom running the state, you never know.

i simply wouldnt live in california without a powerwall at this point.

the rolling brownout/blackouts have been going on for years and they should be regarded as perm pending a major reversal in the amplitude of the inclement weather.

fires like this are going to get worse and more frequent.

I assume Elon has healthy government rebates/subsidies lined up that you just don’t get with a generator.

If Druff waits I’m sure subsidies will grow even larger

Perhaps it's time to move to South Florida. We don't have rolling brownouts like in California. We do have a Governor who knows how to deal with Natural Disasters. We don't have a Communist state govt. We don't have a state income tax. We don't have Sanctuary cities. Yes we do have illegal immigrants like everywhere else, but here they actually try to assimilate into society. We also have Concealed Carry throughout the state, thereby making streets and shops safer. We also have casinos and poker rooms. People actually are moving into the state, unlike California where they are leaving in droves. We may not have wineries, but we have plenty of kick-ass micro breweries. And Florida is a Right-to-Work state.

at this point the term powerwall is a blanket concept tbh. my aunt/uncle build one out of car batteries and a converter, we call it a powerwall.

At least with Hurricanes, you know they are coming for days ahead if not weeks. If a cow farts off the coast of Africa, Jim Cantore is tracking it on the weather channel.

    @Sonatine.

Take a peak at the new WiFi/ethernet breakers. Load info. Remote reset. It’s here now.

    My mind was blown.

I'll take hurricanes over this shit any day. Most people have no idea what an actual hurricane is like because they've never been through one, they've only seen them on tv. Truth is they aren't that bad...unless you live near the water. Storm surge is extremely dangerous. I'm several miles from the bay and we had legit 120 mph winds and many on my street lost their pool cages but people think a hurricane is a F5 tornado and it just isn't the case. Hope you're okay Druff. I didn't lose my pool cage btw. Was one of the only houses on my street where the cage is still standing. Luck I guess. Plus I cut all my screens so the wind would blow through it instead of lifting it. My roof has seen better days though.

A bunch of evil Zionist Jews had their homes burned down. They said no to a ceasefire and they got what they asked for. A raging fire.

i dont know how the home insurance ghouls are going to stay in business if they are forced to insure thousands of low 8 figure value homes that will either burn to the ground or flood / blow away every 5 years or so but if i had to guess, somehow its going to be the rest of us that pay for it.

The Boz: Heard earlier there are more than a few homeowners without insurance. Sickening to think about.

Flew into Palm Springs today from Phoenix, one of the roughest flights in my life. Wasn’t sure we could even leave but they warned us the 50 minute flight would be turbulent but obviously safe. The plane was an A320 so not exactly small.

And I’m staying outside PS near 29 Palms so of course no power at this point but expected back by 630. Went into PS and they all have power. Winds are still nasty and it’s cold in the desert. But my inconveniences are nothing like the people of LA are dealing with.

No, has perfect health and plenty of meds.
PokerFraudAlert...will never censor your claims, even if they're against one of our sponsors. In addition to providing you an open forum report fraud within the poker community, we will also analyze your claims with a clear head an unbiased point of view. And, of course, the accused will always have the floor to defend themselves.-Dan Druff

It’s not the wind obviously - it’s the flooding. The rebuilding on the Gulf will literally never end. Nobody rebuilds after flooding more than twice. They leave

    Then there is the insurance.

How many times has the Mucky Duck been rebuilt?

But it’s not California so yeah, hurricanes win.
