Grass is always greener on the other side. I've leveled up in the last year with a bigger house and significant uptick in money but don't care at all about it beyond providing for my family.
If I didn't have a wife and kid I would fully immerse myself in the Tyde lifestyle, just via climbing and hiking. Am a data analyst and would work just enough through side gigs to have enough to be able to travel and afford basic necessities without touching other assets.
I got to experience this last year at this time; had a week off between jobs where my wife visited her mother in Minnesota. I'll never forget the feeling of having a rest day where I just read a book at a lake bwtween climbs and had absolutely no obligations or concerns.
I hate just about all aspects of work but currently am earning well in a analyst role I mostly despise. I just keep my eye on the target when I feel like breaking down. Striking while the iron is hot, etc.
Advice: set an achievable benchmark goal and just get to work. Minimize weed if that is a leak. Staying fit is a good motivator. Start chipping away at that goal and ride any momentum.

When I was younger I wanted to work for NASA as a scuba diver that helps train the astronauts in that giant swimming pool. Had my advanced certification and sent them a resume every month until they called me.
The job only paid $17 an hour 25 years ago and the guy told me since I had a degree I’d probably get bored with it…I told him it can’t be more boring than my current job at the time.

one things I really learned working with clients every day for years is it hardly every pays to "show them you're right" or to have the last word.
If a client is being a dumbass and messing things up, while getting increasingly angry, the best thing to do is just be calm, patient and professional. Even if its hard I just remind myself I like $$$ and this is how I get paid, the person is usually just venting as they have $$$ at stake and feel stressed out and you are the avenue through which they show it.

Why not grind out a year or two of whatever your job is at $15k+ a month? I assume after not that long the 15 will be come 16,17,20,25k a month. Things grow quickly with momentum and talent and you have solid talent.
