Hey Gringo, you don't need advice....you need perspective. In my almost 57 years of life, i've gained some. Wealth and Financial Freedom is not necessarily related to a specific $$$ number. In order to be truly wealthy, you need to be able to do what makes you happy and at ease.

I know several people that make mega $$$$, but are fucking miserable. I remember back when I was going through a nasty divorce several years ago, I saw a man with his wife and family at a gas station. He was driving a beat up car that looked like it had over a 100k in miles on it. His clothes were shabby, yet he had a genuine smile on his face. I was jealous of him, because he was at peace. I may have been financially in better shape, but I was a miserable fuck. That was 18 years ago, and I still remember it vividly.

Wealth and Financial Freedom isn't a number. To me, being "rich" means you don't have to work anymore to cover your monthly nut. You can be rich and have less $$$ than others who make a lot more $$$, but have a huge nut to cover.

My 2 cents is that you should figure out what you want to be doing with your life that makes you happy and content. And then, do what you need to do in order to get there.

Serious reply... You should give Ken Coleman (from the Dave Ramsey show) a call, he is an expert on these situations. Also, don't back yourself into a corner, you have more options than you think. He has a couple of good books out that you should read. He may even give you one or both of them for free if you call into his show.
