Why are there always a lot of cars left behind during these storms? I can understand that a vast amount of people are idiots and didn't evacuate for various reasons. The advancement in storm tracking/predicting technology, gave them all ample warnings/time to leave. Is this some sort of insurance scam in order to get a newer or new car?

This is a Noreaster now. I am unqualified to give analysis this point forward. Don't do Noreasters. Only Hurricanes.
Inland Disaster posts can continue, but Sandy has now been consumed. Most of the damage will now occur with wind and power outages and residual floods, unique from tropical dynamics.

I delivered this analysis spot on (look at original post date). Including the impact on power outages on the Election.

Im just saying, as someone who has lived on the east coast on and off since birth, Ive gotten used to hearing all this before and being ruthlessly disappointed during execution.
Its just not the right season for this to have any substantive impact.
I suppose anything is possible and I guess Ill stock up on food because frankly I have to anyway since Ive been fishing up north for months basically.![]()
