There was a time when you bought a home cause you liked it. Privacy. You wanted a nice backyard. Place to raise the kids. You kept it nice cause you had some pride.
It wasn’t an investment. That’s a fairly modern concept that has had some disastrous consequences that we are still getting out from under.
Millennials don’t live in starter homes cause they can’t afford it. Others rent in cities.
