When the fish shows up, there's a full table of players ready to sit, all of whom were ready for it. At that point, it's tough for anyone else to get in.
Sounds like a familiar story. There is one guy in particular who pulls his yacht up to palm beach and stays in town for a week. he makes a call to one of the regulars, the floor manager gets notified and all of a sudden there is a 10-20 list with 10 people on it. The worst part about it is there are 2-4 players in the game between 27-35 that are all best of friends and they work as a team pooling money. It's disgraceful but this guy is so rich it doesn't matter.
that's pretty amazing...surprised the rich guy still goes for this shit...I know guys with money like to fire, but I also know that those guys don't like to be thought of as a fucking sucker or a mindless ATM...the rich guys like the challenge and all, but it would seem to me that if the guy knew he was being ganged up on like this he'd get fucking pissed...
