So, how did you get his email set up if he never sent you the username? or, did you have it all along?
Who is George and what is his role in this?
It's all been just a big misunderstanding.
If you really read everything Marty initially claims he doesn't have the password. When it's pointed out he does, he switches and says he doesn't have the username. Eventually GoDaddy gave him the username. So in reality this guy never gave Marty any more info yet Marty somehow eventually got the job done.
Maybe if you process all that, some might understand why this guy is pissy?
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
Even if your claims are true. What sane person just doesn't reforward the email that contains the information instead of digging in their heals like a giant dickhead?
More than likely the guy uses the same password for everything and Tyde harassed GoDaddy support long enough till they gave him the username and he used the password from the other services.
The only answer I can give you is a person likely lashes out in this manner when they are simply fed up. We've all dealt with the Good Dr for over a decade on these forums. Is it really that hard to believe that his guy maybe got pushed over the edge by some of Marty's antics?
As Druff stated earlier, there is obviously two sides to every story. There seems to be a ton of holes in Marty's story to me. Me pointing that out doesnt necessarily mean I think Bob is an angel or handled everything correctly though.
There is talk that Marty had yet to deliver the emails for the original "mechanics" website even though he had the login information for that for over a month. Marty never posted proof that he refuted those claims. And LOL at some of the BS filtered throughout. Marty has literally no friends in life let alone "equity partners" but he thinks he scored some points by saying he read the emails to these ghosts and they were appalled?!?!?! LMFAO. Another example- Marty stated the website was kickass, cutting edge, etc and just sitting there waiting for the passwords. After Marty had full access he claimed he would get it done within 36 hours, after already saying it was ready to go. The "final product" was admittedly incomplete and only one page. Sounds like to me Marty just threw something together real quick last minute.

You just don't fundamentally understand how Wordperss works. You create page templates, page templates can be done but if you have no content the site is empty until you create the pages.
I have shipped websites before in similar fashion because I have literally done everything but have no content and client is dragging their feet. Once they add content the site would appear done.
Is it possible that Marty threw together a content bare site at the last minute after claiming it was ready to go? If this site, content or no, was already sitting on his server ready to go should it take 36 hours to complete once Marty got the login information?
Do you care to address anything else I mentioned?

Yes it is possible, but more likely it was done needing content to fill out and launch.
Here is what I think at a high level, we all see Tyde's personal side and his antics. I think in general he probably acts more professional in his business dealings as it is his livelihood. We are applying how we view his personal life to his professional life and I think that isn't fair.
There are lots of things people say and do in their personal lives that they would never say or do in their professional life.
I think if I was in Bob's shoes and never knew Marty before, based solely on what Ive seen ITT, I could be fed up with the guy. It is super annoying and unprofessional to call someone, they dont answer, and you immediately call them again. There seems to be an initial site (mechanics site) that Marty never delivered emails for. Furthermore Bob never gave Marty anything else and he got the job done which would lead me to believe he COULD HAVE gotten the job done earlier, whether Bob was really super helpful or not. Marty eventually got it done so its pretty easy to surmise he could have and should have got it done earlier. And lastly, I personally and especially professionally am very put off by grandiose expressions and claims. As Bob, if I get an email telling me you have developed a "cutting edge" site and then Im delivered a piece of dog shit, Im going to be pissed. It doesnt matter if I havent provided content, you told me the website is fucking amazing when its not.

Tyde was definitely wronged here, IF what he said is correct - what I mean by "IF" is if Tyde left out other screen shots that benefited Bob. Unless Bob responds either by radio or forum, Tyde gets the benefit of the doubt. What I read in this thread, Tyde went way out of his way to be reasonable and Bob was trying to get something for free.
I don't care who was right or wrong, really, all I want is a good thread, and this one delivers. With that said, Pickering is clearly a villain no matter how you slice it. Now, I don't know this man, but he gives off the vibe of a dude who hits women occasionally, but threatens them constantly. Type of guy who hates Chris Brown because he's black, not because he beats chicks.
I have received an explanation in e-mail from Robert.
I won't post it here yet, as he may not want me to, and I don't want to post people's private e-mail unless there is a compelling reason to do so.
I asked him if it was okay if I post the e-mail, and I'll go from there depending upon what his response is.
The cliffs notes from his email are that:
- Marty took too long to design the site
- He was mad at Marty for calling him repeatedly
- He thought Marty designed a failsite for him
He did not address the whole Godaddy password thing.
#1 and #3 are subjective. #2:He was mad at Marty for calling him repeatedly is a bullshit excuse. I am quite sure if he asked Tyde to call him at a specific time, he would have done so.
My guess is he simply did not like the site work, which is why you do not pay the rest of the work going forward. The honorable thing for Bob to do, is to pay Tyde for the work done, and cut losses. A Charge back is a HUGE douche move, but he is probably broke so he had no choice.
