Sad thing is you all not only talked as if prison was inevitable but also seemed to be rooting for it. Sad on so many levels.

I thought he was going to do some time in jail, but I thought the fine is what would have been steep. I guess i should have learned by now the extent in which government agencies will waste resources to accomplish absolutely nothing. This was all political and the gaming officials wasted tax payers money for their own political gains.

I am glad he can move on with his life. The real criminals in all this is Nevada gaming, as it now so transparent what this all was really about.

Look I am not going to fault the majority of the board for thinking felony = ZOMG PRISON. If you haven"t dealt with the justice system(which most haven't), you really don't have any perspective to work with.

If you have a clean record, you pretty much have to kill someone, or be leading a major drug distribution network to get any real time. It is almost always an automatic slap on the wrists every time.

If I had a clean record and knew an illegal way to make money, I would be doing so much crazy shit it wouldn't funny. The penalty would only be monetary for most part.

You can get away with so much shit before any "real" penaties start.

His logins for bitcoin wallets, he was smart enough I am sure to store that BTC offline "cold wallet".

I don't think the charges are why most thought he'd go to jail. I thought he'd get six months because they broadcast a fucking press conference. Generally speaking, they don't trot out 4 suits for TV to let a guy go scot free. They look silly now.

Unsupervised probation is nothing.

Never been on it but supervised probation is no joke, at least from what I've seen. If Micon get's over a year he's going to need to run good to not violate. Probation officers like to slowroll. They wait til your almost off and then violate you. Most probation officers I've seen are on maniacal power trips.
