Possible theory:

Recall that Micon recently won an "anonymizing" war on his page against whoever did that Erin donation (I think simpdog). Instead of back-and-forth anonymous/un-anonymous, it simply vanished.

Very shortly after that, simpdog reported a failure to donate. We assumed it was aimed specifically at him, but now we know it wasn't. Micon's entire account was frozen from receiving new donations.

Since he was apparently violating their weird and unclear TOS ("defense of formal charges"), it's possible that after they agreed to remove the Erin donations, they asked themselves, "What is it about this campaign which is causing things like this?", looked closer, and noticed the TOS violation.

So it's possible that his actions to remove "Erin" might have indirectly killed his gofundme.

As I said earlier, it doesn't matter all that much, since he already got the bulk of donations that he's going to receive, and at most is losing out on a few thousand more (but probably less than that).

Keep in mind that when Seals was up, there was basically no contest. While other BTC poker sites existed (including Betcoin), they were considered non-factors and barely had any traffic.
