Look I know there is good and evil in almost every person whatever the race and I know there is a seemingly natural tendency to distrust someone different or new to us but that runs both ways and the continuous problems seen over the decades would be much less if the whites in "power" didn't look for a cheap source of labour back in the day. But from that injustice and inhumanity hatred has steamrolled and many have lost the knowledge that every person is the same except for cultural teachings or what have you.
I think the Sparten is one of a great number who were brought up with certain beliefs which has existed from day one and this is hard to undo. And I get the feeling that the Sparten is probably a very likeable guy. But so can Julius or Juan or limitles be.
One thing we know is true, when different races are forced together to overcome a common goal, such as in a war or natural disaster, these differences often are lost.

That being said, at this point in time any dysfunction in the African American community is no longer a legacy of slavery but a legacy of the welfare state, . Also many dysfunction in working poor white communities is the result of systematic and pro active reverse discrimination based on color not economics. As far as education , employment and advancement, grants and subsidies.
They are poor and legally and proactively discriminated against for being WHITE. Even though there more poor and less educated than blacks and there also last in line to newly arrived immigrants.
Bottom line is the black community problems at this point in time time from the welfare state.
