chased my dumpster fire losses today by betting on Houston.

They take a two TD lead as a 1.5 dog into halftime, where obviously, their coach immediately has a stroke on the field, and they get smoked and lose by 3 after missing two FG's.

    THERE IS NO GOD
(cue the bishop getting struck by lightning on the golf course)

I didn't bet this one FTP. The Bucs have been competitive in most of their games and until I see the hawks offense get their shit together I'm staying away from big lines like this.

And the Hawks won the game of course which is the only thing that matters. There are no style points in the NFL, and every team (except the Jags) is good and can win on any given Sunday.

It seems like every year in the NFL their is that one week where lots of crazy shit happens and today seems to be just that. I was lucky the only bet I placed was the 13 point teaser I posted earlier and it cashed.

Boy this NFL betting is rough rough, wish MLB was back. I made $ this weekend only after chasing with big $ live betting, thus too much risk. Time for a new strategy.

I have GB 10.5 tonight, GB has to blow a depleted Bears out you would think. Perhaps just take the lousy $ line for a "Safe" bet?

One trend I have noticed is that teams I think should blow out another team (like San Diego this week), but where the point spread is significantly lower than what I would expect usually mean the "dog" is going to cover if not win outright. i.e. is a much better team than the general public thinks.

I don't wish baseball was back yesterday was one of them crazy days that happen but baseball is a super streaky game to bet compared to football.

I like the Packers tonight as well to beat the injury plagued Bears but the way the yesterday went wtf knows.

You have said that multiple times and I respect your opinion, but.... I couldn't disagree more.

With baseball, I can play many more "hands" in a shorter period.

The game is closer to being solved. Stats, stats, stats.

It's all about the pitching. Easier to game. Public (chicks) dig the long ball and I'll fade that.

Over long haul, and baseball is a long haul, +EV is +EV.

Much more chaos in football. Throw in the spread and its tough. This season it has been hard to game anything but the top teams. Consistent performers.

Example: I have tried to fade the Pats. Especially early on. They were a hugely flawed team. Gotta be the worst 7-2 team I can remember. What does that tell me about the NFL this year? I rather hit my thumb with a hammer than bet NFL right now.

After 10 years, I finally & completely submit to Belichick being god. I will never doubt. He's coaching a bag of balls to a near undefeated season. WTF.

    But I digress.....

When you ace pitcher doesn't show up you lose.... When your ace does show up and the other opponents four starter pitches a gem then you can lose.... When your great hitting team either can't hit on a certain day or leaves 13 people on base then you may lose....

Lots of scenarios in baseball and you need so much to go right even looking at the stats the fact is on any given day anyone can beat anyone more commonly then football or basketball.

That's just my opinion and not to say you can't make money betting baseball because I have but football and basketball I find to be easier.

    It's the popular wisdom.

Pointless to compare all the things that can go wrong in either game.

Hard to factor in your coach dropping dead at halftime when you have the lead in potential big upset. Although, I suspect Stu was involved in a potential fix to protect his 3 million guaranteed lock.

I had a good baseball season and have lost my nerve in football.

You gotta remember, this is all about me.

i had a ticket w/ buffalo's name ready to go. i just couldn't punch it w/ tuel as the starting QB and backed out.

buffalo dominated the game. tuel made some bad plays, and some other bills made bad plays...

nice to see a 9-0 team that's not much better than a 4-4 one

Its like any other sport the refs decide who covers.

Watching the Cowboys game it was so obvious that the refs wanted Minn to cover. Everytime Dallas made a 1st down it came back. Whenever they got in fg range they went backwards. Dez Bryant ran a route stopped and turned while never even touching the db, and the db grabbed his jersey and they called offensive interference. Then Dez being Dez takes off his helmet to argue with the ref so theres another 15 yards and loss of down instead of the 1st 15 yarder. There were little things like spots that always went in Minnesotas favor.

I would be careful with big faves like GB tonight because crooked refs can impact the game enough to help the dog cover without actually causing a loss, so in their minds they can make some extra money and not inflence the actual outcome. Normally Id be on the otherside, but after watching that game im convinced these fucks are crooks.

the cowboys aren't any good. they're a 500 team w/ a shitty defense, they're no better than the 2-6 new york giants..and wow..hats off to romo orchestrating a final drive to beat the vikings at home.....wow..imagine that beating the vikings at home. they're defense is right there w/ washington and sd........pitiful

This is why some people (iirc reggiman, etc) likes to consistently fade the public and bet dogs all baseball season.

Theres really 3 teams that can be the ones to represent the NFC. SF, N.O, and the Green Bay football Packers. Maybe 4 if Seattle can turn it around, but as of now they would get stomped by the other 3.

you know that yesterday was such a joke that I have to pile on Chicago, because for some F-ed up reason, McCown is going to toss 4/5 TD's, Bears D will get 1 INT/1 Fumble recovery.

If I lose, which Im doing a lot lately, you guys are golden.

EDIT: Dont be surprised if someone on GB gets on the wrong bus and misses the game, or if a giant pterodactyl comes out of nowhere and grabs Aaron Rodgers.
