Ehh normally i dont go near anything in the fantasy genre (never seen a single harry potter or lord of the rings, no shit) but a song of fire and ice( or game of thrones as everyone knows it) truly is god and even those too lazy or busy to wade thru 5k+ pages should be watching it on hbo. Its sopranos and breaking bad quality in a whole different way. Just my opinion though.
