I have been in touch with his probation officer today and a detective in Johnson, Rhode Island. I am not going to repeat what was revealed to me because Jasep will obviously be reading this post. I'll just say today was the start of the process.

Props to anyone who has helped put legwork into this and followed up (abrown,drex,handicapme).

There definitely needs to be a consequence to jasep's actions AND he needs to make it right....just one doesn't suffice.

I swear, until he is charged with something I will not let this go. He TRIED to steal from me, he STOLE from this community, but if that isn't fucking bad enough... HE STOLE FROM FUCKING CHILDREN. He made me look like a fool, and that is not something that happens in my every day life (que 408mike picture here). He won't get away with this. I have just PM'd Drex to get a break down of what took place today and if need be will be contacting the state police (not sure if drex contacted county or state) in regards to this. I'm really a nice guy until you fuck with me... he honestly fucked with the wrong group of people here. This won't go away, there will be consequences, and he will pay for this.

22q should have better accounting records and I'm sorry but for a check this size that they don't normally receive you would think they could easily find out if they received it or not.

I do agree with something JoeU said on radio that they want to be 100% sure in something like this and while I think they should of known by now hopefully this answer is confirmed soon.

Glad to hear the call to the probation officer was "promising" at least in the process of punishment towards Jasep since that is the most people can hope for now.

Drexel, have you been in touch with Jasep's ex? She should be concerned about the type of fellow that is heavily influencing her daughter. She may have some recourse in her separation agreement/settlement that would make him pay further for his actions.

It's really in the daughters best interest that Jasep be fully accountable for his actions. Any fallout from his scamming is his direct fault. He should be ashamed for risking his relationship with his daughter by continuing to commit felony's.

Not read anywhere near all this thread so apologies if my post is bullshit.

But this 22Q is a really small charity that hasn't had a large 4 figure single donation within the last 12 or so months?

Yet surely they must of been aware that a VERY nice donation way soon on its way? Yet when this LARGE donation doesn't arrive, nobody from this SMALL charity asks a question or two?

That just seems odd to me.

How many volunteers/staff do they have working for them? Was the treasurer not made aware that a possible $6,000 plus donation would be made soon? How much have you raised as a charity in the last 6 months?

I brought a different form of this up on the emergency show that was run here last night.

My two concerns about 22Q:

1) If this is a small charity, how could they have not been excited about this high-profile fundraiser and been salivating at the prospect of $6500 being raised? One could argue that they simply were happy to have someone raising funds on their behalf, and were thrilled to get $2021, so they didn't bother to check on the reported final total. However, there's another way of looking at it. JoeU's wife was on the board. How could they NOT have found out they were getting $6500? And if they knew they were getting $6500, why weren't they disappointed when only $2021 came in? Why didn't they ask anyone any questions? I don't believe that anyone was working with Jasep (in fact, I find this HIGHLY unlikely), but I am concerned that perhaps the charity is not run competently, and we really need answers to these questions if the community is going to make any effort to "re-donate" the lost money.

2) Why did it take so long to audit the bank accounts to prove that Jasep never submitted the money? JoeU said last night that they switched treasurers and bank accounts sometime over the past 5 months. Okay, fine. But how difficult is it to get statements from two different bank accounts, even when one is closed? I have obtained statements very quickly in the past (usually when doing my taxes), and that includes closed accounts. It just seemed like this took too long.

Once again, I don't think the 22Q Foundation is shady, and I definitely don't believe anyone there is working with Jasep.

However, if a small charity like this did not notice such a large theft, and took several days to verify that the funds were never received, that does bring up some questions as to how everything is being handled there. This is separate from the Jasep issue, but something we really should find out if people here are going to donate further money.

Sounds like "I've been burned, time for a witchhunt " syndrome. But at the end of the day Druff, these people running this program aren't sitting around expectantly for donations, they are living lives. Ones that most likely do not center around this forum or poker, except maybe JoeU...they are all most likely to have a child involved with the 22Q and are busy just trying to work put food on their tables and pay their medicals. Extra time is for family and the helping with the actual charity work. What you have already implied is insulting. Those involved prior to the charity have already accepted responsibility for what ever security leaks there have been. In the future , as far as charity goes I am sure things will be handled differently. And you are very right about keeping this about Sep and his criminal activities. Don't let a few pot stirrers get you looking for other sub plots. imo

What you're missing is that while we want him to also be charged with the BAP money, it's the charity that's more important and makes it a felony. That is something I don't think the dozens if not 100s have done (or if they have we don't know about it)

I agree with Druff if Joe U's wife is on the board how could they not be expecting to receive more money? Something isnt adding up. Jasep somehow must have known he could get away with taking that money. If Jasep has any decency he should explain how the charity didnt question the missing money when one of the board members husband was directly invloved with raising the money that everyone believed to be more then double of they actually received.

But at the same time, I wouldn't fault anyone for letting his ex know. However that could be later in the game after the repercussions come down.

That's for his ex and the courts to decide at this point. We know that he says he is a great Dad. We also know that we can't believe anything he says. Let the people that know him in real life know what he is doing now. They will weigh that with all the other information they know about him and take the appropriate actions. The important thing is that the hammer drops completely on him and he is no longer hiding anything from anybody when and if he tries to become who he wants to become.
