druff just said this person had a good reputation in this community at the time the BAP was being set up. I think many people shared that perspective - not counting person's with what could be called insider knowledge. One might expect the person's partners to perhaps have inside knowledge and any one holding debt from the person selling the BAP.

So, my question in thinking to the future, is how is a potential investor in a BAP, a person that is in the same community, expected to know that the advertised lead investor in the BAP is actually putting no money whatsoever into the BAP and instead rolling debt into it - unless the lead investor and / or the BAP seller discloses this to the community. Also others were doing the same thing - that us rolling debt into it. I know from my perspective, had this BAP been advertised as "A few of this community's debtees along with the person selling the BAP are welcoming fresh money into a BAP so that the debtor can try to earn the debtees money back and also make some money for the new investors" - that this would not have been nearly as attractive sounding as the BAP was presented on this forum. I wonder if it had been presented this way, especially with the lead investor not actually putting any cash in, whether it ever would have gotten off the ground.

Do a little research yourself next time Ken doll. You're a grown man. Nobody made you send him money without doing due diligence. Do you need someone to hold your dick for you while you piss too? It's your own fault you got rolled. Nobody else's. I'm sure you'll get rolled next time too.

I don't think the septic tank will go to prison, assuming he can afford an attorney. The septic tank will plead out and tell the courts that he had a crippling gambling addiction, which is true, and that he is now receiving treatment for it. They will make him pay the charity, and do community service, and have probation. But yeah, septic tank is long gone now, as anything he says here can and will be used against him in a court of law.

He's got multiple felonies though. He's going to jail if arrested.

Jail maybe, but I doubt prison if he can afford an attorney. Prisons are over crowded. They give white collar criminals slap on the wrist most of the time. Just look at PeterDCs case

But if you need a stake to play $100 tourneys half way across the country like Jasep did then be prepared to kiss your money goodbye.

The reason I didnt invest is not because I didnt trust him it was because I invested in his tourney BAP and he was too lazy to play in them. I dont care what % your getting if people are paying for you to play in big guarantee tourneys I dont want to hear 1 excuse why you didnt play in it. The guy got money handed to him and was to fuckin lazy to go play. That with the fact everything about the BAP was amateurish. I remember reading he was going to play some 2/5 with a 5k roll thats like suicide.

There is a good chance Pooh is correct.

Jasep might be on parole or probation, and something like this could be considered a violation, even if he is not formally convicted of the actual crime itself. That could send him to prison for a long time.

She had just been in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend when Johnny Sep asked her out on a date live on radio and almost everyone listening knew he had no chance, but looking back I wonder if he was more interested in getting a stake from Amanda than getting a date as his objective. When she shot him down for the date he proceeded to say he had been turned down by better girls and so on and he continued with some more trash talk about Amanda.

I'll admit that, even though I make it a point to never borrow or loan, I almost bought some shares of the BAP. Purely because I enjoyed his radio show and he seemed down on his luck. It never occurred to me, given his past, that he could be a scammer. Wasn't even on my radar as a possiblilty. I don't blame or think anyone who bought shares is stupid so please don't feel like you are.

I lol @ your lol. Yes I read the thread which is why I know that you and Drexel knew alot more then everyone else when the BAP was started. You didnt have your name on it as to have really purchased shares like Drexel did. I dont see any wrong doing on your part, but I do on Drexels.

How did Drexel do anything wrong besides let a friend slide on a $600 debt and give him $400 towards his last ditch effort? He was being scammed, along with china and the rest of us. Drex and China were actually being scammed by him long before any of this, or have you forgot they were making payments towards a $160 server which cost $5...

Listen I'm not saying they shouldn't have came out earlier, but they're a victim here just like everyone else IF not worse off since they were being taken advantage of for prob a year or so.

We all fucked up... we shouldn't blame other people for this shit. It's our own fault, and Jasep's.

I remember having a Skype conversation with him before one of his trips to a tournament series and he said that he was going to try and hook up with Jamie Kersetter which is maybe a few notches down from Amanda but still way out of Johnny Juan's league.

I was gonna say, if you guys want to invest money in poker players, there are plenty of very good trustworthy people to invest in over there, and they will be playing online where you can actually track their results instead of going on the honor system. Sounds like a lot of people just invested in him because they felt sorry for him though

Theres no way to 100% track someone unless its live tourneys that report.

I read the whole Drexel poor me thing where all he cares about is getting everyone else their money back. It's just hard for me to believe hes so distraught over this shit but has a girl fly out by him and then never pick her up and tell the story like its a joke. Drexel is far from a saint that only cares about the community. He knew Jasep needed stake money to have any chance of recovering the money he was owed. Did Drexel post in the bap thread that he confirmed the pieces he bought? I dont think he did because he didnt want his name on the shit because he knew the shit was not on the up n up. I could be wrong about the last part someone can correct me if thats the case.

How many things have to go down involving Drexel before we start looking at him?

This thread has become to huge and diluted for me to copy and paste every question and now attack thrown my way. I'm going try to state everything I wish to in this one post on a variety of subjects.

22q- To clear it up for everyone, it was Jasep's idea and solely his to have the 22q charity podcast. He approached JoeU with the idea. Joeu TOLD me on the phone that he asked Jasep why he wanted to put in so much work for a charity he just heard about and Jasep responded that "he hoped if he ever needed help (context was in reference to a disease) others would do something like this for him. Jasep then approached Kevin and I and start is how the process started.

Per Jasep, and this was his word without me ever seeing proof, the only person that cashed out of the poker room was Beebs. I dont remember the exact amount but it was less than $25. She can of course fill in the correct numbers.

I had a balance in the poker room of over $400. I staked a ton of people in the main event tournament and the balance was removed by Jasep after 22q.

I admit I never followed up on the monies he was suppose to send or ask him for any proof. He told me he was taking care of it. I assumed months ago everything had been handled correctly. It was only within the past week and change that thought first crossed my mind that there was a possibility monies might not have been paid. It was also brought to my attention that he had stated publically after 22q he was going to borgota to play for about 7-10 days.

When we all settled up our prop bets (Kevin, myself and Jasep) I sent Kevin the 1k I owed him, I offered to put the $600 Jasep owed me in his bap, again he stated to both Kevin and I that he was putting thee $600 in himself. I again fully agree I should have posted or had him post that he was putting in the $600 due to monies owed me. There were other prior investors as well (I didnt know this at the time) who rolled over monies he had owed them from previous baps as well. He may very well had only received 3500-4k in cash from new investors. A new thread can determine this.

I had expressed my displeasure of working with Johnny to Mark on the phone almost daily months before this BAP started. I also had told him back in December I planned on resigning. He asked me to hold off and see if things improved. I did this out of respect to Mark.

The issues for wanting to resign were for a number of reasons. There was an email that Mark sent out to him speaking on my behalf as well that addressed these concerns. We wanted to know once and for all the blind squirrel figures. We wanted Mark to handle the finance (this had been agreed since before we opened shop) and we asked him about the pikachar involvement in the site. My main issue was he had made a number of significant decisions we had found out either by seeing them or from behind the scenes without consulting us. This severely violated our original agreement in which we all pledged to communicate and make consensus decisions.I also was angry because we had a skype meeting in Novmeber in which Johnny basicallyy admonished Mark and I for not selling ads or doing enough to make income for the site. He also stated he had stopped playing poker for months to dedicate himself to the website and insinuated that WE were the cause of lost income he would have had if he wasn't working 10-12 hours a day on VPR. Mark and I laughed privately about this.

These were the reasons I quit VPR. The only shady monetary thing involved Mark sending him $250 at the spur of the moment one day when asked so that a guy who does web work for comedy central could work on our site. He indicated the work could only be done that day. he needed the money that day or we would have had to wait over 3 months for his services again. Mark sent him the money. He gave excuses weeks later as to what had been done. He claimed to Mark the work had been done, but certain things had to still be installed, so on and so forth. Mark can elaborate but suffice to say neither one of us had the technical aptitude to verify what if any work was done.

I had already planned to quit VPR in December. I had already resigned before he began his BAP. There was nothing I knew that I could have reported that would have affected this. Honestly I had suspcions. But so did others. I had zero concrete proof he was or wasn't playing.

I wasn't going to post the behind the scenes VPR conversations and issues as that was irrelevant to everything. It served no purpose nor was anyones business but Mark, Jaseps and mind. And think back, if I resigned publically, blasted another former business partner/friend how would i come across after last years events? As ShadyJ said "drexel is always involved when there is drama" I didnt want this again. I knew me writing that first post would cause this but after realizing by him not paying me and continually buying time, I had to report my dealings with him. At that point I knew he didnt have the 5k roll he claimed to have.

My character. I have been on the forums since 2007. It's funny how events from 6 years ago are still used to question my character and yes I am referring to Julia. I exhibited bad taste and acted awful back in 2008 when i didn't pick her up from the airport and spoke of it. This should be afterthought now. I apologized years ago. She forgave me. We have been close friends since. She was a neighbor of mind for quite some time and ironically enough she is in town for the Superbowl and a group of us are having dinner tonight. I really don't think anything I have done in the past should be used to attack my character now or as shadyj said " maybe we should start looking at drexel"

I'm going to keep my word. I will work with JoeU. I will contact the authorities and fly to RI if necessary. I will keep everyone that has been working on this and communicating with me updated offline. I will do all I can to help restitution be made. But besides that I'm done. I've donated enough time over the years trying to entertain and make people laugh to have numerous posters (and not trolls) have the audacity to say "maybe we should look at drexel" and then I read 5 pages further and no one responds or felt the need to respond. Cmon.

Would it be possible if someone contacted the Borgata/Mohegan Sun to verify if he did play the events that he said he played in the BAP right after the 22Q? I would think so since most likely he would have needed a players card to enter.
