Just took the sickest beat ever. St. Mary at San Francisco college basketball.

I have San Fran live and all they have to do is lose by 13 or less. They lose by 13 I win, and they lose by 14 and I lose.

With about 3 minutes left San Fran is down 5 with the ball shooting free throws. So I am in awesome shape. Hell, they might even win game, much less cover 13+.

The San Fran guy misses the free throws and then St. Mary goes on a run pretty much just shooting free throws, making every one. And San Fran cant make a bucket. Anyways, Saint Marys takes control of game, opens up an insurmountable lead and with 40 seconds left San Fran is down 11 with the ball. They miss a shot, St. Mary gets the rebound and San Fran just lays off. No fouling, no pressing, game over.

The only way I lose if if Saint Mary scores 3 against a team that has already conceded. And you guessed it, that is exactly what happens. The Saint Mary point guard dribbles the ball until like 2 seconds left, passes it to an open guy in corner (everyone is open, no one is playing defense) and he drains corner 3, and San Fran loses by 14. Game, set, match.

In the NBA if you even take that shot you have serious beef. College kids tend to shoot the ball in that spot, but WTF passing it for the corner 3? Dude could have just layed it up.

Really insane beat how it all played out. And to make matters worse I am having one of my worst days in a long time, so just icing on the shit cake.

That is terrible. I wonder why they didn't just hold the ball.

In fairness San Fran couldn't just dribble out the clock. The shot clock had less time than the game clock. In NBA against no defense you dribble it out and concede the turnover, and if you it shoot at all there will be some serious words.

College it doesn't really come up much because kids generally will keep playing defense if the shot clock is less than the game clock, and often will even foul, which would have been completely fine with me. But in this case San Fran wasn't even playing defense at all and St. Mary still dribbled out the shot clock and took the 3 at end of shot clock.

And it didn't affect the game line at all, which wasn't in play at that point, so cant even make up some conspiracy theory along those lines. It only affected my live bet. Just sick beat for me. And especially painful because I am having an extremely bad week so far (and only Tuesday).

So it sounds like you have to wait for the result of game 1 in order to get bonus bet #2, right? That's probably to thwart people like me who roll across the border, fire the whole $2000, wait for the result, and then fire the $2000 bonus bet, and then never play again.

Still, if I start early enough in the day, I should be able to get down a lot of these, especially if I'm betting on international shit late at night. Does that sound like it would work?
