Las Vegas poker pro Jordan Cristos in jail for stalking, threatening WPT CEO, and threatening a judge

I have never met Jordan Cristos in person. I interacted with him a few times on Twitter/X, and we sometimes conversed on Spaces. We weren't friends, and weren't enemies. All of our interactions were unremarkable. However, I did notice a lot of people were accusing him of crazy behavior over the years.

In June 2025, he abruptly vanished from social media. There's a reason for that. He's been in jail. I've actually known about this for quite some time, but didn't post about it.

Here's a recent Las Vegas Review Journal article about it: https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/...r-ceo-3510590/

The "threatening a judge" part isn't quite as bad as you might picture. According to the LVRJ:

Cristos threatened a lawsuit against the judge that would force her removal from the child custody case if she did not grant an order in Cristos’ favor and reinstate custody before a holiday. Cristos also allegedly contemplated publishing a website about the lawsuit he was threatening containing McConnell’s home address.
Not good, but these weren't physical threats -- rather threats of doxxing and a lawsuit if she didn't remove herself from his child custody case.

He's also accused of sending WPT CEO Adam Pliska threatening messages about his "account", perhaps ClubWPTGold. He allegedly wrote, "If you close my account you are effectively sentencing all of your staff to an Open season..... If you do not accept my offer, then you are going to meet the legend and the stalker in more ways than one."

Cristos has had some tournament poker success, with $3.68 million in cashes. He's 38 years old. It's not clear if he's up or down lifetime in tournaments, though. His last big cash was in 2022. He won a $613k WPT event in 2013. The Negreanu beef loosely revolved around Jordan's anger at Negreanu for refusing to stake him.

There was also a beef with Shaun Deeb in 2023, which got some attention, which escalated when he allegedly sent Deeb threatening messages.

To my knowledge, Cristos has never been accused of any kind of stealing or scamming. The issues people have with him involve what seems to be unhinged behavior.

It is unclear if he will be released soon, as he made a plea on September 15 to settle two matters together, including violating a restraining order obtained by his ex-girlfriend, which had 180 days in jail. Since he's been in county jail since June 4, he would definitely be out by the beginning of December, though possibly sooner if they allow a "good time" release. The article implies that the judge matter is part of that, but from what I'm seeing now, it might not be. The article is not written well, to be honest.

However, it seems the Adam Pliska matter is separate, so he might have to face those charges, as well.

Confirmed crazy but Im wondering how long WPTGOLD is going to be able to continue. Eliminating the basic game tokens with no real value leaves them wide open to a banhammer for running a real money site within the USA. Maybe theyre bribing DOJ folks to keep the heat off but clearly theyre gonna get shut out of states who already were going to take down Sweepstakes poker sites and this will accelerate it. Pretty sure the legal state sites like WSOP, Pokerstars NJ and others will bitch and get ClubWPTGold banned in every state that has legalized online poker.
