When you're going to an event where you're looking for people/organizations to donate money to you, the goal is to make it easy and tempting to get on-the-spot donations/commitments, rather than allowing them time to think it over and decide against it.

The QR code thing would greatly benefit candidates who can receive donations instantly upon impressing organizations like AIPAC, before these organizations have the time to research them and ultimately decide to withhold the money.

For example, maybe Gaetz would get donations on the spot by appearing friendly and reasonable, but would lose some once people saw he was an accused pedo. The QR codes were BENEFICIAL to guys like him, not humiliating nor a hindrance.

But if it can make DA JOOOOZ look controlling and degrading, people will share it on social media, even if it's a nothingburger.

i would prefer to not be scanned like cattle, or chattel. the modern day version of being given a number.

If I can stand in a room and be given money on the spot just by saying nice things which sound good, I'll wear 10 QR codes if necessary.
