I know that hyper focusing on Israel and bad man Netanyahu is the cool kid thing to do right now. But it isn't like the rest of the Middle East/North Africa is in any better shape. Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Ethiopia, Libya, Sudan, Eritrea, Lebanon etc. etc. etc. They all have or have recently had "malnourished 14 year olds," in much greater abundance than Gaza in recent history. And Israel had nothing to do with it.
I mean if you really wanted to blame "white colonizers" for fucking up the Middle East, the first people you would be pointing your finger at should be the US. They have their hands directly or indirectly in most of the many, many conflicts going on; most of which Israel isn't involved in at all.
Personally, I believe the people in this part of the world should be held responsible for their own horrible culture, worldview, religion, and behavior; and blaming all their dysfunction on the Jews or "white colonizers" is helping no one. But that is just me.
The thing where we just pretend this part of the world is actually functional, except for big bad Israel, is not particularly honest or accurate.
