Excellent river move by David Peters against Martin Kabrhel at $250k High Roller event

Not only did Peters make this move at the $250k with 11 left, but he was making it against someone who could seriously eat a lot of his stack, and likely had a strong hand!

Very advanced play, and I tip my hat to him.

Peters is a likable guy. Quiet, just goes about his business, never gets into drama.

I honestly get way into these poker clips with the bug win or change up at the end, love them.

That was a beautiful check if you have the right table image. Coming back over after the check just fucks with your head so badly you feel beat as you almost always are.

Much easier in a cash game if you are only 100-150bbs deep to go for the value bet as opposed to tournaments where you really have to think what will I do if they come back over.

I hardly watch poker anymore. Is that European kid always that annoying? That he did it to that kid made is so much more satisfying. Being at a table with that type is torture.

why are these announcers acting like they have never once in the history of our species seen a spade hit the turn before etc etc

    Side notes-

Some day I expect Druff do be an announcer/host during a poker tournament.

About 20+ years ago, then radio show host Tom Leykis did host a live poker event, but admits he knew nothing about poker.

Very smart as you expect non nut flushes to bet the turn. Once it goes check check it seems like trips. You need the ace of spades to be able to make this bluff.

You don't need the A-spades to do this because the board is paired, so there's a lot of possibilities what that river check-raise means beyond having the nut flush. What you wrote about all non-nut flushes betting the turn is true, but even the nut flush would typically bet the turn there, as you don't want to give up a free card to someone drawing to a boat, plus you will get value from lower flushes. It's different from a non-paired board where an opponent with the nut flush may check behind in order to trap, fearing little (and knowing 100% they have the nuts if the board doesn't pair).

But yes him holding the A-spades probably did contribute to his decision to run that bluff.

It was effective against Kabrhel because he's one of those guys who overly hand-reads (and usually does it effectively), so it confused him into folding.

Yes, that's Martin Kabrhel, and he's very annoying to play with. There's been a ton of controversy about him and his antics this year. The public is mixed on him. Some enjoy his routine on the stream, but players mostly hate having him at the table.

I had him in 2017, before anyone knew who he was, and I hated it.

Being stuck at a table and unable to backhand him would legit tilt me so badly that I’m basically the reason he would do it. Having millions of dollars on the line and knowing I can’t lose my shit is a damn nightmare.

People who waste my time or do annoying shit when I’m a captive audience makes me insane like nothing else. I might legit let someone I catch breaking into my car go if they don’t break anything and I thought they were scrounging for change to eat or buy drugs or whatever, but I snap the fuck out even at people who talk on phones if I’m sitting there in the waiting room with them and stuck.

I give them like 60 seconds to resolve call, but if they keep going, I always just tell them to shut the fuck up, no one cares about your life. People sit there with their mouths open that I said it, but I find it so rude that I can’t stay quiet. Chicks are worse and you can’t say it to them as forcefully but if it’s a dude I just go straight to go the fuck outside or hang the fuck up now.

People who try to preach the word to you when you’re sitting somewhere and can’t leave. That idiot who begged to join your freeroll and then stalled the whole time.

If I can get away from you I’m fine and it doesn’t bother me, but if I can’t, I go into the red really fast. Just watching that video and listening to that idiot got my blood boiling. I’d be banned from half the rooms if I had to deal with those people often .
