Think its too late for any new entrants in the ROY category although the NL is so bad this year someone may come up and surprise.
That said this Jac Caglinone coming up to play 1B/DH for KC is an absolute monster.
The Sacramento A's were doing better than expected, and even crushed the Dodgers 11-1 in LA.
Then the Dodgers smacked them the next game, and it's been a disaster ever since. The A's are now in a 1-16 slump.
So what am I going to do? Bet on them.
Sacramento (L. Severino) +133 vs Minnesota (J. Ryan)
BTW I got +143 on Polymarket just now
Butler with a 3-run shot, and my disasterous 6-0 deficit has now become 6-4.
Could buy out right now and essentially 2/3 on Polymarket if I wanted, but I'll let it ride.
OMG A's are so bad
Bases loaded no out, and two popouts
Cincinnati (Greene) -131 vs Milwaukee (F. Peralta)
Well, already behind 1-0.
I was a little iffy on Greene given that he's on his 3rd start back from injury and hasn't looked as sharp as he did before. Not a horrible first, but he did give up a leadoff double and an RBI single.
Here's another White Sox home pick. Detroit has a bullpen game today, hence the semi-light dog line. Smith only threw 60 pitches last time out and should feel fresh. Ploppies all on Detroit yet the line has moved to push more bets that direction.
White Sox (S. Smith) +136 vs Detroit (bullpen)
Reds win.
White Sox up 4-0 in 6th. Ploppies angry right now.
Two pitchers who have not looked good at all in the last few starts:
Mets (Canning) at Dodgers (Gonsolin) - Over 10 -110
You can get this line on Bovada. It's -113 to -120 everywhere else right now.
First game of the Stanley Cup Finals is about to enter overtime. The Oilers are a slight favorite to win the series despite most people I've seen heavily favoring the Panthers. Oilers should be the favorites after steamrolling the Stars, a very good team.
And for those who didn't follow last year, this a rematch of one of the most interesting finals ever. The Panthers narrowly won in seven game after initially going up 3 games to 0 in the series. They gave the MVP to McDavid on the losing team, and he cried and refused to come out and accept the trophy if I remember correctly.
I can't find a clip of it, but there was an all time blunder here with two minutes left. Tomas Nosek pretty much threw the puck in the stands, got a delay of game penalty, and of course the Oilers won on the power play with 31 seconds left. This goof cost them the game and likely will be the difference in the series. ROFL
Houston (C. Gordon) -127 at Cleveland (L. Allen)
I'm a sucker for a 20:3 K/BB ratio, which is what Gordon has. Ignore his 5.95 ERA.
Anaheim (Hendricks) +109 vs Seattle (Bry. Miller)
