Picture this. You go to the DMV website to renew your car registration. It wants your bank routing and account numbers. You go to copy/paste this info from where you have it saved on your computer, and you notice you can't. Instead, you need to painstakingly type each digit yourself, and double/triple/quadruple check you didn't do it wrong. And if you get one digit wrong, no registration for you! Hello fines, hello penalties!

Is is so maddening to me when copy/paste is disabled by sites, for so called security reasons. These almost always do more harm than good.

Fortunately there is a simple way around it. While copy/paste is disabled, you can always still highlight/drag!

It is very easy, simply highlight anything in another browser window, then drag it over to the text box where you want to paste it, in another browser window!

What if you are copying something from Notepad or another application which won't allow text to be dragged? No problem. Just copy and paste it into a text box on another website (like this one), and then drag it from there.
