    More recent Newsom fail...

Another $100 billion needed to complete California's bullet train project
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- When California's "bullet train" was pitched to voters back in 2008, the cost of linking Los Angeles to San Francisco via high-speed rail was said to be about $40 billion.

But now, more than 15 years later, state officials say it's going to cost as much as $35 billion just to complete the 171-mile stretch between Bakersfield and Merced. Completing the entire line will require an additional $100 billion.

"It's never going to get built," Republican State Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones said. "It's never going to come to San Diego. It's never going to come to L.A., and it's always going to be $100 billion away."
Note- This is NOT the rail from Rancho Cucomonga to Vegas, different project.

The whimpering democrats are just pathetic at this point. They should all be graceful enough to just shut the hell up for a while. How nice of the California governor to wish Trump well. He and the rest of his failed party should just leave it at that and respect the will of the people.

This is being done to "fight climate change". Ridiculous.

California gas prices are the highest (by far) of any state in the US, besides remote Hawaii. That's because they already have loads of environmental regulations which other states don't have.

Now they're adding to the misery by adding 65c/gallon to the already sky-high prices.

Newsom is such an empty suit moron.

Gov. Gavin Newsom is in Washington, D.C., this week urging the Biden administration to approve Clean Air Act waivers before President Trump takes office, so that California can push forward on electric cars and trains:

In fairness, the Dodgers spent at least $20b on injured pitchers and it all worked out in the end.
