He is a decorated veteran and Fox News Host. Princeton and Harvard grad, accomplished author, all by the age of 44. He will surround himself with people that will manage the day to day stuff. It's not like the Military Industrial Complex can become more inefficient, so even if he is a flop, it will be hardly noticed. Personally I would rather have a young smart guy in there, than they typical 65 year old aging general who has mentally checked out and wants to write a book. I agree with Trump on one thing, some of these Generals are fucking scheming climbers who memorized the movie Patton and like war so they can lead troops of course from Washington DC. I think Trump has been emboldened by his ISIS success in 2017. The generals told him it would take years to extinguish them. A couple MOAB bombs later they were gone. You also never hear from Syria anymore either, I saw a retired general on CNN saying Syria was the most complex problem Trump would face when entering office in 2017, yeah not so much, he blew up their airport and that was that. Point is, Hegseth is young and brings a fresh perspective. I personally think though he spends a year there and is like what the fuck did I do, making $3 million a year at Fox to making $200,000 a year working 70 hours a week in what will be a thankless job. I give him a year and back at Fox.
