Fortunately/unfortunately there is a whole subculture on social media of people finding the need to make themselves the victim for likes.

These kids are actually smart to do these phony reaction videos, provided they don't mind the temporary scorn. It's a quick way to build a following.
David Leavitt, the guy who made a huge scene at Target and supposedly called the police over not having a 1-cent toothbrush price "honored" (even though he was looking at a label with a code saying 0.01), purposely made himself into the ultimate male Karen, in order to get a following. It worked, and now he's a left wing influencer with 400k followers. Prior to that, he was a nobody Magic player.
