Where the fuck is my flying car and my pleasure robot? Computer nerds like Druff need to get on this.

Pretty accurate ad from AT&T in 1993. Some of it was very stupid (lol video payphones and ill-advised voice activated locks), but they predicted embedded GPS driving directions and some other impressive stuff.
The flying cars thing was never practical, and could be highly dangerous. Would you want one of those going over your house?
One legitimately disappointing thing has been robotics. Most people 40 years ago assumed that robots, which were already working in industry, would be highly advanced by this point in time, and common in homes. Instead, the best we have are roombas which sweep up the floor and don't run into the wall.
The sudden advance of AI (clearly the major innovation of this decade versus the 2010s) might spur the development of usable android type robots, aimed at the consumer.
Imagine if you could have a robot doing your household chores, or even better, replacing repairmen by doing difficult/dangerous fixes to things around the house.
I would like to know where my robot maid named Rosie is.
The Roomba isn't cutting it
40 years later, still waiting for this. And Paulie, who was younger than it appeared at the time (7 years younger than I am now!), is dead.
So since you've been born advances in medicine, technology etc do not meet your standards.
