I ate lunch next to OJ Simpson in Miami around 2000 at an outdoor restaurant. He was with a couple guys, very non de-script lunch. I will say this, when he got up I could not believe how big he was. You would have thought he played linebacker in the NFL. Hard to believe he was a running back.

It also helped that this was not too longer after the Rodney King cops acquittals, and the incompetent OJ prosecution accepted a jury which was mostly black, in some pathetic attempt to demonstrate that this wasn't a modern-day lynching. Some of the jurors later stated that they knew he was guilty, but voted innocent in order to make up for the Rodney King situation.

Props to Clark County for somewhat righting that wrong, way overcharging and oversentencing him for something which was a midgrade crime at worst (pulling a gun in attempt to get back memorabilia he legit believed was previously stolen from him).
