I wanted to start this thread before I convinced sprint to allow me an early upgrade, the situation would have been more asking druff how he'd handle these customer service agents. I was able to pull it off on my own and get them to allow me an upgrade 2 months before I am eligible. Just some insight on my situation. I'm currently using a blackberry that cannot survive for longer then 1 minute without a charger, regardless of which battery I'm using. So it's very obvious something is just wrong with the phone. I was able to convince a customer service rep to attach an early upgrade to my account yesterday so I started furiously googling what will be my next phone...
Prior to all the blackberry problems I was kind of wanting that iphone 4s but after research at least for me it seems like android is a better fit. I also don't see a big difference between iphone 4 and 4s other then a better camera and siri. I've heard that the iphone 4s actually has a shittier standby time, which is kind of concerning.
Then I started hearing people talking about the google nexus, phone seems alright but its camera is pretty dumpy for what's currently available on the market place. I'm not a cellphone guru so after some research I come to find that the google nexus has been released like nov of 2011 on verizon and not a whole lot is different about the two phones. So why would you pay $200 for a phone that came out in nov 2011 ?
Even further speculation lead me into finding out that the HTC Evo 4g LTE is coming out on may 18th, granted theres not a single LTE market on sprint but with any smartphone you already have to pay the additional $10, which yes sucks but also in a way downplays iphone even more so as it's not at all capable of doing this.
I think I sort of made it clear that I want to wait a week and scoop up that new EVO but what I want to know is it really worth it to sit around on a preorder for a week while only being able to use your blackberry while its on the charger ? I mean is the google nexus that less superior of a phone?
Any other recommendations are welcomed, I am fully aware I don't have to sign with sprint for another 2 years, so if theres something on verizon that I'm not aware of I would definitely like to hear about it.
