Pax Americana of the last 75 years was the historical anomaly. Insanely stable, peaceful and prosperous. Now that the world is trending toward multiparity, things are reverting back to the norm. Which is wars, death, disease, poverty.
You can be an isolationist at heart, but you also need to accept we actually are generally very good at this sort of thing (or we were), and the more we pull back the more millions of people thousands of miles away are going to suffer. And eventually the suffering will reach us at home too.
Now maybe there is nothing to do. All empires fall eventually. But IMO America should be praised for the results it gave the last 75 years. And if you think we are the problem, and the rest of the world will be better off without our involvement, you are in for a rude awakening IMO.
