A heavy fully loaded cargo ship cannot be intentionally steered at the last second, inertia is going to take it where it’s headed. Just ask the Titanic why it couldn’t avoid that iceberg…even though they saw it a quarter of a mile before impact.
That cargo ship was loaded with fuel and toxic waste, my guess it was a semi failed terrorist attempt.

I’m face palming from the tin foil hatters going as far to claim the bridge was demolished charges on the top of the bridge and the ship was cover.
