Plus, she's a self-identified socialist, and that's the last label Democrats should want for themselves if they're looking to win blue-collar America back.

Democrats *need* young and Progressive candidates to rally the disenchanted American voters who are sick of being stuck with (1) a terribly expensive healthcare system that Obamacare only scratched the surface to reform, and which the GOP wants to pertuate absent the restrictions of insurance companies making as much money as possible off the public and the subsidies for lower income citizens that Obamacare put in place , and (2) the now-historically high cost of secondary education for middle class and below citizens in the post World War II era given how states have essentially abandoned making a 4-year degree at a decent state university affordable a huge swath of their residents.

In fact, I am laughing st how much Fox News and right-wingers are going after AOC, trying paint her as crazy socialist even though her position on these two issues are favored by a majority of voters. I see the right-wings full-throated attacks on her like when the Catholic Church publicly calling for a ban on movies it believes are “blasphemous”; it’s strong public criticism brings attention to those movies, spurring more to want to see what is so supposedly awful about.

So AOC and campaign staff are probably elated over the attention right-wing media is bringing to her candidacy. To which they are probaly collectively doing something like this:
