Democrats spent 4 years trying to assert that the Russians handed the election to Trump and he was involved in a conspiracy to make it happen. Now all of a sudden they're crying foul about Republicans undermining election results.

Also, many Democrats still believe Stacey Abrams is the rightfully elected governor of Georgia, even though she lost by 50,000 votes.

Besides, when Trump fails miserably in his attempt to change the results of this election, it's unlikely to spawn a lot of imitators. The imitation will start occurring when someone succeeds, or at least gets close. The system is designed to prevent that.

What percentage of small town MAGA types do you think support taxing the rich at a higher level? You realize that most would speak and vote against that, right? How many MAGA fanatics are screaming that the rich should be taxed more?

You don't see it, because class warfare isn't part of the MAGA playbook. Instead, they were sold a different message -- that the Democrats both have disdain for them AND sell out to special interests which allow their jobs to be outsourced. The latter of the two was used to defeat fellow Republicans in the 2016 primary, as well.

Hating greedy business practices and hating the successful are two entirely different things.

For one, the system is designed to prevent overturning of results, hence the lack of cooperation with Trump on this, even from Republicans. (Note that this is what's causing the issues in Georgia, where some Republican voters might unfortunately stay home for the runoff.)

Second, there's a huge difference between a Hail Mary attempt to overturn election results through legal challenges, and fundamentally changing longstanding political/judicial institutions.

Adding one or more states to the country in order to secure extra Senators falls under that fundamental change category. Packing the court to force a majority you don't otherwise have is another one, as this will completely destroy the Supreme Court.

When there is actual destructive outcome from Trump's actions, then you can come talk to me.

Until then, LOL at saying Democrats now should have a license to fuck up longstanding institutions because "Trump made legal challenges to the election".

You're still missing it.

If the gripe was with the rich and successful, the MAGA people would have supported taxing them more. They didn't, because the message wasn't one of class warfare.

The message was, "Hate the entrenched people in government and their corporate corrupters who are shipping your jobs overseas, killing your industries, and taking advantage of you."

The message was NOT, "Hate the rich and successful. They don't deserve what they have, and you should get a piece of what they've got."

Two very, very different messages. The first was likely to go over well with working class whites, and indeed they took to it very well. The second would not have gone over well.
