Not even close to the same thing.
For one, the system is designed to prevent overturning of results, hence the lack of cooperation with Trump on this, even from Republicans. (Note that this is what's causing the issues in Georgia, where some Republican voters might unfortunately stay home for the runoff.)
Second, there's a huge difference between a Hail Mary attempt to overturn election results through legal challenges, and fundamentally changing longstanding political/judicial institutions.
Adding one or more states to the country in order to secure extra Senators falls under that fundamental change category. Packing the court to force a majority you don't otherwise have is another one, as this will completely destroy the Supreme Court.
When there is actual destructive outcome from Trump's actions, then you can come talk to me.
Until then, LOL at saying Democrats now should have a license to fuck up longstanding institutions because "Trump made legal challenges to the election".
