Problem is that everyone already knows Biden is senile, so a few bad moments in the debates aren't going to kill him. It's kind of like when bad things come out about Trump's past. People already know Trump is an asshole with a shady past, so that's not going to change many minds.

The only way the debates can significantly hurt Biden is if he is REALLY out of it and confused. Like, if he can barely string coherent thoughts together, that will make a big impact. However, I'm imagining he CAN string coherent thoughts together, or he wouldn't have agreed to the debate. His handlers probably feel they can get him to memorize some canned answers and mumble some things about racism and COVID, and it will be good enough to leave people thinking he isn't completely braindead.

Disagree. Unlike the Democratic debates there were 10 people on stage and Biden could hide. When he is on stage for 2 hours by himself he is going to crumble. He slurs his words and makes no sense. When Trump goes on attack he is going to lose his mind, literally. It would not surprise me in the least that there is 1 debate, then the other two are canceled. If I were Trump I would then offer to debate the VP candidate because at this point Biden is a Weekend at Bernie's candidate and really just is a prop.

I can’t figure out which party leadership is stupider at the Moment.
