Which is perfectly within their rights to do. Maybe at the Special Olympics, everyone gets a medal, and everything is fair. Life isn't like the Special Olympics, and it isn't fair a lot of the times. This happens to be one of those times.
I don't feel "entitled" to anything.
Of course they're allowed to run their business as they please.
But so am I. They are running a business to make money, and I am playing poker for the same reason.
If I'm hearing that everyone with similar action is getting a bonus and I'm not, of course I should want to look into it, unless I don't care about money.
My biggest frustration here has been the lack of ability to get a hold of anyone with any real power, knowledge, or visibility into what's going on. They have hired a bunch of third-world customer service employees to follow a strict set of rules and refuse to deviate from them -- basically because they can't be trusted to make any real decisions. That model is fine, provided that you can also reach some sort of real manager when you want. You used to be able to, but now it's extremely difficult.
Again, that's their decision with their own business to run it that way, but it's also mine whether I want to continue playing there.
So if I got a manager on the phone and he said, "Yes, you're right about what you observed, but that's the way it is, and we're not telling you why," then I'd have another piece of information to see if I want to keep patronizing Bovada. It's not just a matter of pride, either. Between the anonymous games, the zero rakeback, the reduced sportsbetting odds, and the worsened payout options, I have to make a decision if it's worth it for me to play there at all. This is one of those factors.
You might be confusing this with a post where I am hating on a poker site, and advising everyone to stay away. I do that for sites where scandals and shady behavior occurs. In cases like this, which is really just poor customer service but within their rights as business owners, I just leave.
Only reason I'm posting about it here is because I know certain people here play there regularly, and might have contacts that I'm not aware of.
