I realize the term "crippling alcoholism" is used for effect, but alcohol or any mood altering agent can be just the ticket for some. I admit fitting the definition of an alcoholic, but that applies only because people tend to categorize everything which then allows for comparison, which in turn can be used as a tool to prop up or put down.
Like everything else alcohol can create problems when abused, but the same can be said of many things, including the habit of talking too much(I'll keep this short). Preaching any form of abstinence or justifying foibles of your own is a waste of breath. It's happens every day of course and is the lifeblood of this forum but that's about it.
This post is the result of three days of virtually no alcohol consumption and look at the result.
