He's Protective Custody (PC) all the way.

Ex cop highly publicized known trial no doubt he is a (PC) inmate now. Under high Supervision now or currently. For him given all this mess that is probably is a good thing for him. He will be alone mostly, and have his own space as such a (PC) inmate.
