Yes i got probation bc i got lucky and was able to plea to a lessor charge (the 900 grams turned into 29 and they forgot about all the other paraphernalia they were charging me with.

Yes, there has been a lawsuit filed. The reason why I can't sue myself is bc I eventually pled guilty and thus gave up my right to sue on my own behalf.

The lawsuit has been filed with the state and of course the city is making it hard. I'm part of a class action lawsuit seeking damages on bealf of the 5,000 people who have been detained illegally there. I am named in this lawsuit as part of a "sub-class" which means that i'm basically tagging along on the lawsuit. I am represented by a high profile civil rights attorney in chicago. I'm under no gag order so i can speak freely about this.

I waited until my case was resolved before i called the guardian, but i read the first story (and figured out that's where i was interrogated) a month earlier.

I've also been on tv, as i testified before the cook county board of commissioners in january of 16.

It bothered me that the chicago police were breaking the law. So I guess it was my duty to expose it. It was just pot anyway, and any employer i might have in the future shouldn't care, and if they do why would I work for them?
