How do we investigate the CIA, Mossad, any of it? When have we ever got answers regarding intelligence agencies? Like we can’t get answers on JFK 60 years later.

There is a huge difference between not reporting a crime you're aware of, and committing the crime yourself. It's not even close. The Paterno situation was so bad because this stuff was happening on the team he was leading, and despite being told about what was going on, he looked the other way and more boys got molested. Had Paterno simply stayed silent when a friend unrelated to the team was molesting boys, he wouldn't have had anywhere near the same fallout.
