cla scams people with NFL bets

I believe you posted earlier that since CLA didnt escrow you wouldnt have sent him SDs funds. So basically you helped SD freeroll off of CLA.

When he came into the thread and told SD he would honor the bet is when he is on the hook for the money. Not before that according to what you said yourself or you're part of the problem.

That said I think I cant be sure but I think if SD had lost he would have been willing to pay. If not theres clearly no bet and CLA could have clearly got out of it, but he did himself in when he said he would honor it. Once he said that hes on the hook imo.

No, I totally mean it. He lost the most. He should be the one who decides whether to post it or not. The allegedly part was just because its been said I have flip flopped on it many times, so I didn't want to do that again

If he doesn't show by then I think releasing his name and maybe having someone research him would be fair.

cla didn't escrow and clearly was going to run some BS about why simpdog owed him if he won. He didn't win, so he just ran off. The fact that he promised to pay (and never argued that the bet was invalid) is proof that this was a scam from the start.

As far as I'm concerned, if you bet as part of a scam/freeroll, you are not entitled to any winnings, but are responsible for any losses you incur during your attempt to scam/freeroll.

If it were a situation where a guy just legitimately forgot to escrow, then I would just declare the bet invalid on both sides.

One more long post...

This whole cla situation is becoming a clusterfuck for numerous reasons.

cla gets action with Weiss and badguy. Taking action from badguy in the first place is a red flag making you wonder why anyone at this point would do that unless they were freerolling themselves knowing they probably were going to be freerolled.

cla wins both bets. badguy wasn't going to pay him and Weiss was out of town then I believe sent a check but then cancelled when he realized he wasn't going to get paid on the next bet.

simpdog accepted action from cla which I'm not going to come down on him for it but I will say their are better people he could get action from. Their were no policies put in that BOTH parties must have escrowed the money prior to the game yet they were using an escrow? This defeats one of the key purposes to having an escrow in the first place as you want them to hold the money prior to a game then ship it out afterward.

Some others now think badguy should ship to simpdog and the debt is a wash which financially that sounds ok BUT it's wrong because we don't know if cla had any funds to cover these bets in the first place and it basically means he could keep on betting freerolling it up and hope his wins would settle with his losses. This is terrible on so many levels.

So... the whole situation is a big mess.

Everyone should have used an escrow in the first place imo. Bets the following week which an escrow was agreed upon cla never sent prior to the game claiming he had paypal then when it was time to pay he said his account was having issues.

Had cla won from simpdog then how does cla look after that? A guy who was clearly freerolling now would have been owed from both badguy and simpdog which I'm not saying simp wouldn't have paid him BUT technically he was being freerolled all along so perhaps they bet another week and break even or they don't and cla don't pay Weiss what he owes him so then simpdog is in a weird spot of whether to pay someone because he thinks he was being freerolled or not?

Some others might think they could bet cla after this and then just not pay him since they know he was freerolling himself so if cla never paid those people then they feel they wouldn't have to pay him. This is horrible logic but some might try that and hope that cla would come out ahead somewhere along the line then actually pay them.

All I will say is for the future if someone don't want to go through an online book and is really going to bet with PFA members then:

1. Use an escrow 100% of the time.

2. Money must be received by escrow by a certain time prior to any game starting otherwise bet is determined as no action.

3. Don't say your going to bet and then bail out not sending your money in prior to the game otherwise that escrow has a right to say "Your not allowed to use me anymore" and the potential shady bettor should be called out in the forum for not sending prior to the game causing a no action bet.

4. The escrow who should be someone considered trust worthy in the community (Druff) confirms the bet is action when both parties have sent in and escrow ships to the winner afterward.

^^^^ - follow this protocol in the future and transactions will go more smoothly.

Anyone can place a blame or criticize certain people for the way they handled this thing which obviously cla is a scammer/freeroller/welcher but without a system like the basic one I described above when betting with folks on the internet your just asking for controversy.

One other thing I forgot to mention about betting on 2+2. You could have a trustworthy reg vouch for you, but if you dont pay the reg owes your debt.

I think I can get a few trustworthy regs to vouch for me.

Looking for the Templar, Jasep, CLA, Badguy or Peterdc to vouch for me itt.

BTW simpdog, you got the $500 back from me, right? You posted something about it being held or some BS like that, and I didn't hear anything from Paypal saying such.

If it hasn't gone through completely, let me know. I just refunded your $500 so I have no idea why they held it.

I phoned in to ask wtf was going on and they said due to the amount someone has to check it out internally.

They said there is nothing that you or I can do to speed it up, but also could not tell me how long it would take.

If I don't see anything by ~Tuesday I will definitely be calling back in. You would think a refund would be instant.

With the luck you 2 are having lately, cla has probably reported both of you & they'll probably shut down both of your accounts for abnormal activity & confiscate all the funds.
