time to time I will update this as I find cool/new stuff I try and like that I think will be useful to the community.
latest thing is a sleep aid known as Alteril. It looks like this 
I picked it up for $11 and have used it 4 times now with great success overall. I tend to suffer insomnia which I believe is tied to my unmedicated ADHD (for the smart asses I haven't gotten high but 3 times in the last 60 days or so) so for me, sleeping more than 2 hours at a time is usually pretty tough. i tend to suffer horrific nightmares that often result in me waking up sleepwalking around the premises and I have to sleep with a night light of some kind otherwise I wake up every 20 minutes drenched in sweat fearing for my life again and again and again.
Alcohol used to do a good job of putting me down, but I quit drinking months ago and in the last 2-3 months I've gotten drunk less than 5 times (by drunk I mean drinking ANYTHING for the evening) so without that crutch, I have been kind of fucked with regard to sleeping and it's just a killer on my stress levels so to find a sleep aid that actually WORKS has been a blessing from God to say the least.
Overall I give this product 5/5 stars, firstly because it's very affordable and secondly because it works and keeps me asleep. I still seem to get up about 5 hours in which is typical of melatonin but the tryptophan and valerian root keeps me in a dream state well enough that I can get up to piss or make sure there are no aliens demons or killer clowns lurking around my sleep area and I can get back to sleep. I don't seem to wake drenched in sweat and terrified either, which is all good in my book.
Solid buy, if you are in the market for a sleep aid this comes 408mike approved.
Warning- takes about 45 minutes to take effect, after 6 hours 7 at most you WILL BE UP and not tired so plan ahead with regard to sleep schedule.
*bonus info* melatonin is used to treat jet lag, you can use this product to effectively reset your internal clock however you so choose.
It would be advisable to add 50-100mgs of 5-htp to the mix IMO, I have had great success taking 5-htp before sleep and having very pleasant, positive dreams. highly recommended.
