madero is definitely a problem waiting to be solved.
but whats interesting is so far our approach has been like random war crimes against fishing boats because, wait for it, russia has flooded VZ with pretty great military tech, so any kinetic approach to unseating the narcogov could get extremely bloody and complicated and expensive. but they have oil so fuck it.
on a macro scale, its complicated further by a lot of the latam leaders saying they stand behind madero.
why, i have no idea. i think its blowback against trump being a pathologically incompetent despot more than anything else. or they are just presenting a unified public posture while making it clear through back channels that they cant fucking wait for us to cauterize that whole country. remember, countries like columbia are saying hands off madero but they are also major recipients of anti-narco funding and support from the US. so perhaps they are just trying to prevent another narco terrorist blowing up their streets and murdering their cops, which is probably where this goes if we dont shock and awe madero's entire regime into wet pink dust within the first 3 hours of any sort of decisive action.
anyway the deadline trump gave for madero to step down expired and he aint going anywhere and trump just warned everyone to avoid VZ's air space so yeah, looks like its time to liberate those oil wells.
glgl to anyones kids who are about to get their troop carriers lit up by bleeding edge russian ground defense turrets.
